SHRTC is equipped with world class radiation therapy planning and treatment delivery facilities, using the latest technology. Our radiotherapy patients receive comprehensive care, including access to;

External Beam Radiation Therapy

  • 3D conformal radiation therapy
  • Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
  • Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)

Superficial and Deep Radiation Therapy

  • Specialist treatment unit for skin/superficial malignancies

Chemotherapy Delivery (concurrent with radiotherapy)

Symptom Management Assessment and Referral Team (SMART Clinic)

Parking

There is easy access via the M80 Ring Road (take Furlong Road exit).

Casual parking

Car parking is available at the hospital for an hourly fee. Special rates may apply to patients undergoing radiotherapy. These will be discussed at the first clinic appointment. Short-term 10 minute parking is available at the front entrance to the Centre. Parking is also available in the car park located next door to the main hospital as well as across Furlong Road – modest fees apply.

Trains

Ginifer Railway Station, on the Sydenham Line, is a ten minute walk from the Centre.

Buses

Bus no. 408 stops in front of the Sunshine Hospital emergency department. For more information regarding bus routes, http://ptv.vic.gov.au

A telephone booking service is available in the reception of the Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre.
