Williamstown Hospital will soon have a new 'Heart' thanks to the generosity of donors who raised $2.5 million for the redevelopment of key public areas within the hospital, starting this month.

The Vietnamese Community in Melbourne's western suburbs have come together to raise funds for the new Joan Kirner Women's and Children's at Sunshine Hospital.

Colourful commemorative artworks inspired by the work and legacy of The Hon Joan Kirner AC were unveiled at the new Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital on October 9 by the Minister for Health, The Hon Jill Hennessy, alongside Mrs Kirner's husband Ron Kirner.
