  3. Once the assessment and paperwork are complete, we will place your name on our waiting list.

Eligibility

Eligibility for both permanent and respite residential care at Grant Lodge is determined by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) following a comprehensive evaluation of the person’s care needs.

You may be eligible if you:

  • need 24-hour residential nursing care
  • live in Bacchus Marsh, Melton or nearby areas – or if a close family member lives in these areas.

Referrals

Referrals must be made through the ACAT process. This involves a formal assessment by a qualified ACAT clinician to determine eligibility for government-subsidised residential aged care.

Cost to client

The cost is means-tested. This means what you pay depends on your income and assets. The Australian Government uses this information to help decide your fees.
