Research participants

At Western Health, we conduct a number of trials across a range of clinical areas. If you or someone you care for is interested in participating or learning more about clinical trials, we invite you to explore our Western Health Chronic Disease Alliance (WHCDA) website.

The Clinical Trials webpage is provided in 19 different languages and has further information to help you decide whether you would like to participate in a clinical trial at Western Health.

We are always keen to improve the service we provide, so if you are already a research participant or a carer of someone on a trial at Western Health, feel free to get in touch. Please provide your feedback by completing the Clinical Trials Participant Experience Feedback Survey.

If you wish to provide general feedback or provide any further feedback on any aspect of research integrity at Western Health, please visit our Feedback webpage.

Consumer information

Western Health recognises the importance of consumer partnership in research. We are committed to ensure that you as a consumer are provided the opportunity to provide us with valuable information to help our researchers develop research projects that take into consideration the needs and expectations of our community.

As a consumer advisor in research at Western Health you can:

  • Work with our researchers by contributing your life experience and/or lived experience with a disease and provide insight into how their research can make a difference in the community.
  • Actively contribute to advancing medical research projects by being involved in the development of patient facing materials.
  • Assist our researchers with communicating their science in plain language.
  • Joining a committee to work on specific projects.

To learn more about joining Western Health to support our research, please visit our Consumer and Community Engagement webpage.
